Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Figaro's Wedding was premiered in 1786, with Mozart himself as conductor, and the opera was a great success. Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus for chorus, strings and organ in a simple yet sublime 46 bars, was his last completed sacred work as he did not live long enough to complete his Requiem.
In Te Deum for choirs and orchestras, Bruckner dedicated the work to God, thankful for recovery safely through the torments in Vienna. However, conductor Hermann Levi carried out the work with great public success in 1885 and Bruckner became this work of pride in his life.
