What an evening it will be when Stavangers own king of pop will play songs from a completely unique career, a career that extends over an incredible 40 years, with the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra and the Stavanger Symphony Choir!
Seven years ago, Morten Abel and the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra invited to a party in Fartein Valen. The occasion was Abel’s first Norwegian-language solo album. It ended with full houses and glorious reception from both the press and the audience.
This year there is a certain anniversary as well. An anniversary that the main character himself does not really feel like mentioning. Usually he preferst to look ahead to new exciting challenges and adventures, but these automn nights he’ll treat himself and the audience to a musical journey info his past.
Together with SSO and Stavanger Symfonikor, he will take a deep dive into his catalogue. We will be hearing songs from the very beginning of the 80’s and all the way until today. For the first time ever!
