We look forward to continuing and developing the opera offering in the region, building on the solid foundation that has already been established.

Our ambition is to make opera a powerful and relevant artistic experience for a wider audience. The opera initiative led by the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra aims to be a driving force for artistic and cultural development throughout the region. We seek to create lasting models of collaboration with other partners and institutions, and to anchor this work in broad political and societal engagement.

Through high artistic quality, outreach, and inclusive initiatives, we will make opera accessible and engaging – both for experienced opera-goers and for new audiences.
