On a September night in 1853, a young, beautiful and well-dressed man knocked on the door of Robert Schumann. This hopeful man was none other than Johannes Brahms.

The encounter marked Brahms first step into music history, while it also marked Schumann’s despairing way out. The evening celebrates these two brilliant German composers.
