As of 1 July 2025, Opera Rogaland has become an integrated part of Stavanger Symphony Orchestra.
We look forward to continuing and further developing the opera offering in the region, building on the strong foundation that has already been established.
Our ambition is to make opera a powerful and relevant artistic experience for a broader audience. Stavanger Symphony Orchestra’s opera initiative will serve as a driving force for artistic and cultural development throughout the region. We aim to create sustainable collaboration models with other institutions and partners, and to anchor this work in broad political and societal engagement.
Through high artistic quality, dedicated outreach, and inclusive initiatives, we will make opera both accessible and engaging – for seasoned opera lovers and new audiences alike.
