In recent years Stavanger Symphony Orchestra (SSO) has achieved considerable artistic development and has attracted steadily larger audiences, both in Norway and abroad. In 2014 the orchestra performed approx. 200 concerts. In September 2012 the orchestra moved into Stavanger’s new concert hall, with two main halls that are acoustically on a par with the very best in Europe. No specific audition date. Auditions will be by invitation following evaluation of applications and recordings.

Audition requirements: 1st and 2nd. movement of a Mozart Concerto with cadenza 1st movement of a concerto by: Beethoven, Brahms, Tsjaikovskij, Sibelius or Mendelssohn

Yearly salary: NOK 618.040 – 626.325(after 16 years). Associate 1.st Concertmaster has a work duty of approx 28 weeks a year. Leading approx 14 weeks.
