Alongside guest artist Leif Ove Andsnes, Solistkoret Ung and conductor Grete Pedersen, Lise Davidsen and Stavanger Symphony Orchestra will perform beloved Christmas classics in a concert that marks the beginning of the holiday season in Stavanger.

The foundation for this collaboration was laid when we invited Lise Davidsen to perform Christmas concerts with us in 2023. We are delighted to welcome her back for a new collaboration with Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. This will be a very special evening, giving audiences the opportunity to experience some of Norway’s finest musicians and singers gathered on one stage.

Over the past few years, Lise Davidsen has established herself as one of the most sought-after sopranos on the international stage, with regular appearances at venues including the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House and Wiener Staatsoper. Critics around the world have described her as a voice in a class of its own.

Her breakthrough came in 2015 when she won Operalia, the Queen Sonja International Music Competition and the Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition. Since then, she has enjoyed great success at the world’s leading opera houses and concert halls, including the BBC Proms, Carnegie Hall and concert appearances in Vienna.
