Stavanger Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the extension of the contract with Chief Conductor Andris Poga for an additional two years. This expands the scope of their collaboration to a total of five years.
The Stavanger Symphony Orchestra and Andris Poga initially signed a three-year agreement starting from the 2021-22 season. The two-year extension includes the 2025-26 season, highlighting the mutual trust between the orchestra and Poga. His artistic vision and dynamic approach have been a source of inspiration for both the musicians and the audience in Stavanger. Throughout his tenure as Chief Conductor, Poga has demonstrated exceptional leadership and the ability to highlight and realize the orchestra’s artistic and creative potential.
