The SSO has a vacancy for Tutti violin, 2 positions
The Stavanger Symphony Orchestra (SSO) has become one of Scandinavia’s most successful orchestras. The orchestra has experienced significant artistic development in recent years together with an increase in audience numbers, both in Norway and abroad. The new internationally acclaimed concert hall, from 2012, has contributed to the SSO’s further growth. The Orchestra is a democratic organization where the musicians have a unique opportunity to influence both artistic development and working conditions. Our Chief Conductor is Christian Vasquez.
In SSO the tutti violinists rotate between 1st and 2nd, where the main duty will be on 1st.
Application must include video recording of first movement of one of Mozarts Violin Concertos with cadenza(with or without pianist) + orchestra excerpt Strauss: Don Juan.
Interresting candidates will be invited to audition for our jury.
Obligatory programme: 1st movement and 2nd movement, with cadenza, of any Mozart Violin Concerto + 1st movement of a Violin Concerto by Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius or Mendelssohn.

Salary is up to NOK 597.617 pr. year (with 16 years seniority).
