Eldbjørg Hemsing is one of the leading young violinists of today, and a global ambassador of classical music who is committed to bringing her art form to new and emerging audiences across the world. She has recorded three award-winning albums, premiered multiple acclaimed new compositions, performed in leading venues, played for the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, toured with the royal family of Norway, and been appointed to numerous curatorial and artistic advisor roles around the world.

This concert begins with Chausson’s poetic Poème, a work that captures the deepest emotions of the heart. It is followed by Ravel’s Tzigane, a virtuosic rhapsody. Dusapin is one of the most renowned living composers from France. His A linea brings a modern and innovative expression to the program, before the concert concludes with Kodály’s lively Dances of Galánta, brimming with energy and folkloric joy.
